LeBron Raymone James Sr. Born 30 December 1984 is a pro American basketball player. The nickname is King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won four NBA Championships as well as Four NBA MVP Awards, Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won two Olympic Gold medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has the most playoff points, with the second most points in his career total and the seventh best ever assist number. Additionally, as an NBA All-Star, James was selected for an NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He has played in 10 NBA Finals, the third-most in history. It was eight in a row between 2011-2018. James was picked to be a member of the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022 he became first NBA player in history to earn at least 10,000 points in a career. James was a basketball player in St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron, Ohio. He was hailed by national media as the future NBA super star. He was a pre-profession player and picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of Year He quickly established himself as one of the league's premier players, winning an NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after failing to achieve the title with Cleveland. The announcement was made on The Decision.
