LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is known for his role as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has taken home four NBA championships, four NBA MVP awards and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James has scored the most points in the playoffs and has the second highest number of career points and is seventh in career assists. James has been named as an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever, including eight consecutively between 2011 and 2018. In 2018 James was also chosen to join the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. In 2021 James was chosen to join be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player to ever in NBA history to rack up 10,000 or more career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball with St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron, Ohio. He was hailed by the national press as the next NBA superstar. In 2003 his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft as a prep-topro. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, the player quickly became one of the league's premier players by winning an NBA MVP Award in both 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to win the championship in Cleveland in 2010, left as a free agent and joined in the Miami Heat. This was made clear by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a sports free-agent in the history of sports.
