Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days Meloni had a keen interest in acting. Then he studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active on both television and films but it was his character on the smaller screen that brought him fame and a large admirers. His ability to play characters from both sides of the law has captured the attention of the public. He was the character of the serial killer on his debut television show and then later played as an NYPD detective. His small-screen performances were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. The piercingly blue eyes of his face have been deemed to be the most appealing aspect of his appearance. These have been used to depict rough characters and make them more appealing. The year 2006 was the last time he was featured in the People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
