Awkwafina An American actor and singer, began with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of sexual and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood after she released several rap songs. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Alongside classical music and jazz, she began studying hip-hop in her teens. In college, she concentrated on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism.
